Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Mattern

Thomas M. Mattern graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1988 (the same day his daughter was born). He has been a member of the American Dental Association and The Academy of General Dentists for 22 years. Dr. Mattern is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetology program. He obtained his fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2007.
Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Dr. Mattern. He has offered his office every year since 2003 to the ADA Give Kids a Smile program providing care to hundreds of disadvantaged children. His monthly visits to Saint Vincent DePaul’s dental clinic in downtown Phoenix and his on-going trips to the dental clinic in Atoyac, Mexico have been rewarding for both Dr. Mattern and the patients he served.
Dr. Mattern enjoys all aspects of dentistry and due to his many hours of continuing education is able to provide all forms of treatment including implants, complete smile makeovers, root canals, dentures, orthodontics (including Invisalign), and all restorative work.
Outside of work, his passion is golf and spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Euzarraga

Dr. Janet Euzarraga earned her dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry near Chicago in 1987. After thirteen years of practice in northern Illinois, she relocated to Arizona and has been an integral part of Desert Dentistry since 2001.
Since graduation, she has taken numerous post graduate training courses, including classes at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Esthetic Professionals in California, both of which specialize in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
“Dr. E” (as she is affectionately known) is a dedicated professional providing general, family, and cosmetic dentistry in a caring, low stress environment. She prides herself on making her patients feel welcomed and comfortable.
Outside of the office, Dr. E lives in Ahwatukee and enjoys family time with her husband and two boys.
Dr. Mackey

Dr. Tracy Mackey is originally from Wisconsin, but grew up in Phoenix. She graduated from Horizon High School in Scottsdale and then attended University of Arizona in Tucson. After completing dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, she moved back to Arizona. Dr. Mackey has been practicing general dentistry with Desert Dentistry since 2001.
In her free time Dr. Mackey enjoys running, shopping, and spending the day at the park with her boys.
Dr. Wade

Kristin Wade, DMD graduated from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2009. As a student, she organized various community projects, including renovating a local homeless shelter and initiating oral health training for nursing home staff. She has been a member of Special Care in Dentistry since 1998.
Prior to working as a dentist, she worked as a dental hygienist for eight years. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and emphasizes preventative dental care for her patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in her son’s classroom and gardening.
Dr. Mayorga

Dr. Mayorga was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming but raised right here in Ahwatukee. She attended Mountain Pointe High School just up the road from Desert Dentistry Ahwatukee before moving on to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson. While busy at the U of A studying to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in physiology, Dr. Mayorga was a member of the cheer squad traveling with the football team and with the basketball team to the two NCAA tournaments. After her time in Tucson she spent six months studying abroad in Alicante, Spain before starting dental school in Colorado.
Dr. Mayorga received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, and she believes that continuing education is vital to providing quality care to her patients.
Dr. Mayorga and her husband have been married just over three years, and have a mini shih tzu named Oso. Her and her husband are big sports fans, attending the majority of home Cardinal games and rooting on the Arizona Wildcats!
Dr. Collins

Dr. Ahmed Collins earned his dental degree from New Jersey Dental School in 2003. His undergraduate studies were completed at Morgan State University. After graduating from dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Collins moved to the valley with his wife, Tiffani, in 2007. He takes numerous hours of continuing education courses each year to stay current with the latest technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Arizona Dental Association, and the National Dental Association.
His leisure activities include exercising, playing basketball, going to the movies, and spending time with his son, Chase.
Dr. Casagrande

Angelo Casagrande, DMD is a certified pediatric dentist who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1971.
He served with the U.S. Army for three years and achieved the rank of Captain. He received his degree in pediatric dentistry from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Casagrande is also a member of the American Dental Association.
He enjoys working with children and believes in healthy smiles!
Dr. Kerr

Douglas Kerr, DMD is a certified pediatric dentist originally from Chicago. He has lived and practiced in Phoenix for the last 5 years, including part-time associating at Desert Dentistry in Payson.
He is a member of the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Kerr can be found reading, playing with his young daughter, reading comic books, or playing basketball.
Dr. Gonzalez

Dr. Catalina Gonzalez completed her dental education at The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. She also has a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering (graduated Cum Laude) from the University of Miami. Before continuing her studies to become a dentist, she worked as a project lead engineer for Johnson & Johnson.
Dr. Gonzalez’s passion for dentistry and interest in her patients, make them feel welcomed and cared for. She is devoted to her profession and remains up to date in innovative techniques and materials through advanced education and training.
Dr. Gonzalez is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA).
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, road cycling, and yoga.
Dr. Ramones

Dr. Andreina Ramones is originally from Boca Raton, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. She continued her studies here in Arizona, graduating from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Immediately following graduation, she completed a one year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry through Lutheran Medical Center. She is a member of the Arizona Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Ramones now calls Phoenix her home. She volunteers monthly at the St. Vincent de Paul pediatric dental clinic along with several other organizations. She is an advocate of serving her community and believes that continuing education is a way to better serve her patients. Being fluent in Spanish, she most recently worked with the Smiles for Life organization serving villages in the Dominican Republic. She enjoys working with children and advocates oral health education among children in her community.
In her spare time, Dr. Ramones enjoys keeping up with her cooking blog, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her wonderful dog, Halle Berry.
Dr. West

Dr. Curtis West is a general dentist and is originally from Houston Texas. He has been living in the Valley for 5 years. Dr. West attended Texas Tech University and Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. West is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentists.
In his free time enjoys going hiking with his wife and dog, and working on classic cars. He also volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul dental clinic on a regular basis.
