Dentures

What Are Dentures?
Dentures are a removable alternative for tooth replacement. A complete denture replaces an entire arch of missing teeth, and a partial denture replaces a single missing tooth to multiple missing teeth.
Complete Dentures
Complete dentures are made with acrylic resin and plastic teeth. Patients often help in selecting the shade, size, and shape of the denture’s teeth for a more esthetically pleasing smile.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are made out of acrylic, with or without a metal base. In order to get the best fit for a partial denture, your dentist may need to make several adjustments to your existing teeth before the partial is made.
Snap-on Dentures
Snap-on dentures are the most effective choice for stability since they are secured either to dental implants or anchors on existing teeth rather than resting entirely on the gums. Snap-on dentures are made similarly to the complete dentures, but they have locator attachments embedded within the tissue side of the denture. The locator attachments snap either onto implants or locator receptors.

Review

On Friday morning, my crown came off. I was able to get an appointment for 12:30 that day to have the crown place back on the tooth. The people at Desert Dentistry were very friendly and by 1:15 I was on my way to lunch.
